Vloggers, influencers join forces at YouTube FanFest

Fans all over the Philippines flocked to the World Trade Center on May 11 as the world’s rising influencers take Manila by storm when they graced the 4th edition of YouTube FanFest.
Over 8,000 Filipinos joined in the event, which was attended by YouTube creators Janina Vela, Ranz & Niana, AC Bonifacio, Pamela Swing, Michelle Dy, Matt Steffanina, the Merrell Twins, Alodia Gosiengfao, Wil Dasovich, D-trix, Renee, Sungha Jung, and Mikey Bustos.
Being part of this year’s line-up, these content creators lit up the stage with their different acts and surprises for all their Filipino fans.
The host for the event, Janina Vela, started the concert with a bang with her self-written song, “Unstoppable,” hyping everyone up at the concert venue. Then, other creators showcased what they have been meaning to tell their fans—their gratitude.
Dancing, singing, and comedy acts were presented on the stage, all with nothing but determination to do the best show they could put together for the people who have been on their side since the start of their journey as content creators.
Prior to the event, these vloggers made the press conference as light and fun as possible, telling their most memorable moments with funny banters, entertaining the press.
“Do it for the viewers,” Wil Dasovich said at the press conference when asked about how they deal with the haters.
Each YouTube creator had something to fill in with the media’s questions, all giving different motivational outputs. But there’s one thing that they all agreed on, they wouldn’t be where they are at right now without the ubiquitous video-sharing site.
“YouTube brings these [vloggers] together,” Vanessa Merrell said.
With the variety of personalities, all of them have come together to bring the biggest event of YouTube to life, to bring the fun to World Trade Center, for the people who have come all the way to support them since the start of their journey.
And then, the unwavering support of their viewers led them to what they do best with the large responsibility of influencing thousands of people.
